SALLY UNDERWOOD
Illustrations: Cornucopia and Cuttlefish Eyes
Medium: Marker and Bristol Paper
Dimensions: 24" x 36"
These illustrations explore the way we connect with marine life and the lack of empathy that seems to exist. The first illustration shows an abundance of connection, and the hierarchical distinction between human and marine animal is questioned. The cuttlefish eyes seem strange and alien, and show the disconnect between two intelligent animals. These were showed in the Vachon Gallery at Seattle University from March to April 2017.
